Dr. Yiolanta Sofiali-Brunvert, PH.D, LMFT

It may feel that you are far from your ideal self and that your hopes and dreams have become elusive. You may feel stuck as you found yourself engulfed in personal and relational cycles that do not serve you or someone you love anymore. Whether you are seeking individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy or are a guardian trying to help your child/adolescent, we will work together to construct goals in positive terms and create positive shifts in the way you connect with your experiences.

During therapy, you have the opportunity to become the author of your life and the creator of your reality. You can edit, interpret and retell you story. Sometimes just telling your story is what leads you down the path of healing and change. I am here to “be” with you and “hold space” for you as you process your thoughts, feel your feelings, and digest your experiences.

I am a bilingual (English-Greek) licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am also a Florida Approved Supervisor for registered Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling interns. Although I have 15 years of experience providing therapy services to a wide range of populations in a variety of settings, I have discovered my niche to be children who experience emotional and behavioral problems at home/school and mothers, specifically those who experience postpartum challenges. My approach is collaborative, strength-based, and solution-oriented.

If you are a woman in transition or a mother experiencing postpartum challenges you are welcome to join one of our on-site support groups.  You can learn more about me at www.agapeconnectionstherapy.com or reach me at (561) 660-1692 for more information. I look forward to embarking on this new journey with you.
